Lead Artist Charles Quick will be speaking at the Tatton Park Biennial 'Spaces Symposium' on Friday 18th July 11.30am - 4pm, Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire. This one day symposium is for artists, commissioners and arts organisations exploring commissioning, context and site-specific art. Normal entry charges apply for Tatton Park apply, including lunch and a guided tour of the Biennial. Places are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis. The Family Lead Artist Charles Quick and artist Chris Davis will present The Family project at a Conference entitled 'Innovation & Exploration: Evaluating arts-based community projects in Urban Regeneration' at Urbis, Manchester on Friday 13th June, 9.30am - 3.30pm. The Preston Market Mystery Book

Preston's Covered Market will host a book launch and open-air film screening on June 11th, 8.30pm - 10pm to celebrate the launch of a new book which documents the Preston Market Mystery Project. A new commission entitled Local Colour by artist Becky Shaw will be realised this Summer. Becky uses live, photographic and written methods to generate often humorous, and sometimes critical, projects in response to commercial and institutional contexts.

Preston Market Mystery Project, John NewlingJohn Newling presented the Preston Market Mystery Project at The Culture of Possibilities: the Third National Public Art Conference, which took place in Nottingham. This is the third time that In Certain Places has featured at the conference. Charles Quick presented the project at the second conference in Liverpool, 2006, and the Lead Artist scheme was discussed at the inaugural event in 2005.
